Golang Job: Head of Product Engineering

We've recently raised our Series A funding for the next phase of our company roadmap, so we're expanding the engineering team to meet the coming, new challenges.

Head of Product Engineering at Banked

You will lead a group of 20+ engineers that build the products on top of our global payments network. Your role will be to plan, drive and deliver the team's roadmap together with your Product and UX counterparts from discovery to production while ensuring engineering best practices and continuous improvement of the teams. About you

• A strong technical leader and a people manager
• A charismatic leader that can inspire people and lead by example - able to roll up slives and dig into the code if needed
• Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex problems into smaller deliverable chunks
• Ability to balance business needs, a sense of urgency, and shipping high-quality and pragmatic solutions
• Production experience with scalable, reliable distributed systems that are mission-critical
• Experience with event-driven architectures
• Experience building public APIs and designing for developer experience
• Experienced and comfortable working in our stack: K8s, Golang, typescript, GCP (or any other public cloud)
• 3+ years of experience in an engineering leadership role managing teams
• A proven track record of building cultures that encourage ambition and foster empathy

• Ensure we deliver the best quality products for our customers
• Drive the team's planning cycles, help us keep our priorities in order and make sure everyone is focused on our goals
• Drive initiatives across several engineering and cross-functional teams while setting clear expectations, timelines, and direction.
• Communicate technical and product decisions, resolve dependencies, and blocking issues to keep our delivery momentum
• Grow and mentor leads and teams to deliver products that scale globally
• Work side by side with engineering groups and other departments to improve our processes and inspire a collaborative culture
